It’s been about a year since the same sex marriage vote was won in Australia and this beautiful Inglewood Estate Wedding perfectly showcased why a YES result was so important….
This wedding was one of the most emotional weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting. Shan and Amy could not wipe the smiles (or happy tears) off their faces the entire day.
They got ready at the same place resulting in some major co-ordination so they wouldn’t see each other before their reveal/first look. One of the highlights for me was capturing Amy’s reaction to Shan’s boots. Boots that weren’t meant to be part of Shan’s wedding attire : )
All day the weather looked ominous, teasing us with the threat of torrential rain. But whenever the girls stepped outside for a creative shoot, it stopped. Read into that what you will ; )
Smoke bombs and awesome denim jackets made their creative session extra fun after the emotional ceremony at Inglewood Estate’s chapel. As their huge bridal party looked on with tears in their eyes, and kids “sat quietly” in their seats, Shan and Amy said, “I DO!” Proving once again that love is love and love will ALWAYS win.
