A rustic Emu Bottom wedding with one of the sweetest couples around….
Emu Bottom is a hidden gem located just outside Sunbury (approx. 40mins form Melbourne CBD).
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing numerous weddings there and each has managed to have its own unique look and vibe.
Ashlin and Ben’s wedding was no exception.
Ben got ready at his parent’s house while Ashlin got ready at her grandparent’s. This was very important to her as the house had recently sold and was due to be demolished.
We captured the little details that reminded her of her childhood. Again, this emphasises the importance of documenting details – and why I love telling stories.
The ceremony was filled with emotion.
Ben teared up as he watched Ashlin’s grandfather walk her down the aisle.
They gave a “thumbs up” for marriage equality before saying, “I DO!”. Then celebrated their union surrounded by a sky full of dried flowers (which had been grown and brought over from Ashlin’s grandfather’s home in London).
Sans bridal party, the couple enjoyed a fun yet intimate creative session before partying it up during the reception.
This is how I saw their day….. ENJOY!
