When choosing a wedding venue the toilets aren’t generally the selling point. But that’s exactly what happened when Tania and Carli chose the Thornbury Bowls Club for their special day….
You know you’re going to have a good day when you turn up to the first bride’s location and they’re sitting outside in flannies, drinking long necks : ) Then you head to the other bride to see matching robes and champagne. The juxtaposition was truly awesome and the perfect start to this adorable couple’s special day.
Tania wore a beautiful dress by local designer, By Kinsman, accompanied with a surprise blue bracelet from Carli to complete her “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” ensemble.
Their intimate ceremony took place at Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy North with Carli’s stepmom their celebrant. Then a quick tram ride later and we were at their reception….The Thornbury Bowls Club – A documentary photographer’s dream! A wedding at a lawn bowls club wouldn’t be complete without a spot of bowling (for the record, Tania won!)
And of course one of my highlights was capturing these 2 lovebirds in the infamous Thornbury Bowls Club toilets – lockers, old wallpaper, curved arches….BLISS!
The smiles never left these 2. This is how I saw their day – ENJOY!!
