Where are the best Yarra Valley Wedding Venues?
The Yarra Valley is a hotspot for weddings. No surprise considering the 90 different wineries to choose from. But how does one narrow down the best Yarra Valley wedding venues?
Surrounded by stunning views and only an hour’s drive from Melbourne, winery cellar doors range from rustic sheds and barn yards to “architectural statements”.
Below are some of my fave Yarra Valley wedding venues. Each completely unique and fun.
Alowyn Gardens

Oakridge Wines
Oakridge has been a family owned company since its inception in 1978. In 2012 it boasted the title of “Australian Winery of the Year” from The Age & Sydney Morning Herald Good Wine Guide.
The following year, the striking new Oakridge restaurant and cellar door was opened to the public. This impressive architectural statement provides the perfect backdrop for wedding couples.
Acacia Ridge
If you’re after a quaint, rustic setting which is not only affordable but offers incredible views than Acacia Ridge is definitely worth checking out. Did I mention the views? This really was a treat for me and I hope to shoot again there soon.
Balgownie Estate
