What’s better than a family portrait session?….Recurring family portrait sessions, that’s what!
And not just any family portrait but a “Loved Up” shoot.
Loved Up shoots differ from your average family portrait in 2 distinct ways. They are longer sessions that capture a moment in your life, documentary style. That tell your story.
The perfect example of both types of shoots and why recurring family portraits are such an important keepsake, are one of my fave fams – THE FERGS (Ferguson, if you want to be formal).
My mate, Kat, and fellow photographer, first came to me in 2012 before the birth of her first child, Olivia. She wanted an artistic family portrait session showcasing her adorable belly.
I was only happy to oblige.
2 years later I documented The Fergs after their 2nd child, Owen was born. A family portrait session that started on the bed before moving through the house, Loved Up style. Full blog HERE
.
In 2015 they moved house. Another session was booked. And here we see a perfect example of why recurring family portraits are awesome….You can recreate scenes!
Which is why, when their third child, Judy, arrived mid 2016 I was there to document their latest adventure…
The Fergs were captured on their bed yet again… Each year adding its challenges and hilarity 😀
Having the opportunity to capture this gorgeous family as they grow has been an honour and a keepsake I know they’ll treasure.
I look forward to capturing their next adventure and, hopefully, many other families that want a special family portrait….or 2 ; )
So what do think? Are you up for letting me tell your story?
