I cannot express how excited I was documenting this stunning Brooklyn wedding….New York City is one of my favourite cities in the world and Brooklyn is where I love to stay during my visits. This is my third time capturing a wedding here and it was an absolute cracker!

If it weren’t for my trusty camera in hand I’d be pinching myself.

How could I not? After all, I was about to capture another gorgeous wedding in New York. In a park. In DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass). With the Manhattan skyline as our backdrop.

There’s a reason I love documenting destination weddings. I get to combine my two loves (after my family of course!)….travel and photography. Although this time I had the added bonus of having my first loves present as well. Look out for the adorable toddler rocking a bowtie and orange suspenders.

But I digress. So let’s rewind.

Gav and I studied photography together many years ago….During the same time I fell in love with his cousin : ) So when Gav and Liana announced their engagement I couldn’t help but hope they’d choose me to capture their special day. When they mentioned the possibility of a destination wedding I may have peed a little.

And so here we are. Me wearing cleanish underwear (it was hot, ok?!) and Gav and Liana looking like a couple of supermodels.

We started our pre ceremony shenanigans at 1Hotel. One of the coolest hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting. Their first look taking place on the rooftop bar. Seriously, the views were INCREDIBLE!

We then made our way along DUMBO’s promenade and subway stations for the creative session (Not an easy feat with a bridal party of 12. Lucky they were awesome ; )) The ceremony was short, sweet and accompanied by the dulcet tones of the subway trains making their way across the Manhattan Bridge. Another mini creative shoot followed as we made our way to the reception at GRAN ELÉCTRICA

The cocktails flowed, the speeches were heartfelt and funny, the dance floor was bopping and the Wifey was “slightly” inebriated by the end of it.

This is how I saw they BRILLIANT day…. ENJOY!
