Nothing says DIY farm wedding like hay bales transformed into a bride and groom….

And that was just a taste of what was to come!

But first let’s rewind.

Kat and Matt had originally booked their wedding at a winery. With only a few months remaining before their big day the winery appointed a new chef. The chef’s style was not their cup of tea….or in this case, filet mignon (boom tish! Don’t worry, I won’t give up my day job)

So they decided to have their wedding at Kat’s parent’s farm. This would be the perfect opportunity for Kat to flex her event manager muscles.

And, boy, did she flex them!

The details that accompanied the stunning farm were incredible! From the aforementioned hay bales to the wooden bridge that Matt constructed specifically for the wedding.

Other highlights to look out for….

  • Hand-painted signs at every turn
  • Matt getting emotional as Kat walks down the aisle
  • Icypoles for the guests post ceremony
  • A cake guard (you read correctly)
  • Mouth watering food
  • Gorgeous chandeliers hanging in the marquee
  • Olive plants as bonbonnieres
  • Kids with a lot of spunk (personality)
  • And a fun creative session which included SMOKE BOMBS!

This is how I saw their day….ENJOY!
