Have you ever been witness or participated in a wedding shoe game?

Never even heard of it? Then let us give you a quick run down….

The wedding shoe game generally takes place at the reception after dinner and drinks have been consumed. The newly wedded couple sit back to back whilst holding two shoes. One from each couple. Then a designated person reads out questions to the couple. They answer by holding up the shoe of the person they believe fits the answer best.

Questions could include:

  • Who is the better dresser?
  • Or more likely to be running late?
  • Who said, “I love you” first?
  • Made the first move?

The possibilities are endless.

Emelie and Anna’s wedding was the first time I’d captured this game.

It was such a great way for everybody to get to know the couple better. Their smiles and reactions throughout were infectious.

Do you have any more wedding games that you’d like to share?
